At Edensor Park Medical Centre
our doctors and staff are committed to providing health care of the highest quality, in the most professional manner, to our patients and their families.

Doctors at this practice may be contacted by telephoning the surgery during their normal working hours. If your call is urgent please inform the receptionist, it will be treated as such and put straight through to a doctor or the registered nurse for further advise. If the call is non-urgent and the doctor is with a patient the receptionist will take a message and the doctor will return your call as soon as possible.

When making an appointment, please inform reception staff if you require a long consultation.

Please note that appointments will be given priority. However in the event of an emergency, these patients will be seen first.

Privacy laws prevent us from giving results over the phone. If necessary a nurse will contact you to make an appointment to discuss any abnormal results.

During the week appointments are necessary, however this does not mean you will be seen at the exact time. On some occasions earlier appointments may take longer than expected. On other occasions an emergency situation may eventuate delaying your appointment.

In extreme emergencies such as severe breathing difficulty, chest pain, or severe injury telephone 000 immediately and ask for an ambulance.
For less urgent cases our surgery is equipped to deal with minor casualties. In urgent cases the first available doctor and our registered nurse will attend to you as a matter of priority. Please inform the receptionist if you think you require urgent treatment.

Appointments are given preference and should be made to avoid delays. You may make an appointment for the doctor of your choice by telephoning the surgery between 8.00am and 9.00pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm Saturdays and 9.00am to 6.00pm Sundays. You may still see a doctor if you do not have an appointment, the receptionist will slot you in the next available appointment time for the doctor of your choice, or if time is of concern you may see the next available doctor.
If you suspect your appointment is going to take longer than a standard appointment time please inform the receptionist so that extra time may be allowed.
